About Julia

Dear Family,

My name is Julia, and I am a 28-year-old nanny with a genuine passion for working with children. Although I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics, I discovered that my true calling lies in childcare.

I come from a Polish-Ecuadorian background and speak fluent Polish and English (having studied in international schools), intermediate Spanish, and basic French. My multicultural upbringing and love of languages help me connect easily with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

Over the past three years, I've gained hands-on experience caring for children aged 4 months to 9 years in both full-time and part-time roles. My experience includes:

  • Full-time nanny for two sisters (ages 4 months and 3 years) in Prague – supporting daily routines, developmental activities, and general care.

  • Shared part-time care for a 2-year-old boy (British family) and a 1-year-old girl (French-German family), creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment.

  • Occasional and weekend babysitting through Susie's Babysitting for various families across Prague.

I'm a calm, empathetic, and reliable caregiver who enjoys being playful with children, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them feel secure and understood. I also have personal experience with children on the autism spectrum, which has deepened my sensitivity and patience. I love reading about child psychology and early development and am always looking for ways to grow in my approach.

Starting July 21, 2025, I will begin a new and exciting chapter at Braníček, a newly opened educational club for children in Prague 4. During the summer, I'll be part of the Braníček Summer Club, offering a mix of group and individual childcare, including occasional babysitting, depending on availability.

From September, I will join Susie (the owner and founder) as co-teacher at Braníček's English Mini Preschool – a full-time morning program running daily from 8:30 to 14:30. The preschool focuses on creating a warm, nurturing space where children can explore, learn, and thrive through playful learning in English.

Due to this new role, I will no longer be available for regular nanny placements, but I'm happy to offer occasional or one-time babysitting during summer 2025, depending on my schedule.

I would love to meet your family and support you with trusted, heart-centered care whenever possible.

Warm regards,
Julia Andino Vélez
