📌 July 2, 2025: Thank you for your interest in Braníček! What's happening with our Summer Club – and what's next?
This week (and the next two), we're still closed as we fine-tune the final details of our activities, both for the summer and for the upcoming school year starting in September.
🎉 Summer Programme (starting July 21)
We originally planned to start our summer programme on July 7, led by our Czech teacher Klárka. Unfortunately, she fell ill. Rather than keeping you in suspense or making promises we couldn't keep, we've decided to move the opening to a safe and certain date – July 21, 2025.
The Summer Club will now be led by Julia, who will also be the main guide of our morning preschool group starting in September. This makes the summer a great opportunity to explore Braníček in a relaxed setting and get to know our team.
📅 From September 2025
Starting in September, we're opening a small English-language preschool at Braníček for children aged 2.5 to 5 years – in a calm environment with individual attention and kind, respectful guidance.
We're also preparing afternoon clubs and themed activities for children aged 4 to 8 – and you'll be able to try out some of these clubs already during the summer, led by Julie, Zuzka, or other members of our team.

My Vision for Braníček Club
Braníček was born from something I missed – a space where children are cared for with the same warmth, patience, and individual attention you'd expect from a loving mum or grandma.
Somewhere that feels safe, calm, and gentle. Where little ones are truly seen.
At Braníček, we will offer creative and meaningful activities each day – but we also understand that every child is different.
If a child doesn't feel like joining the planned activity, they don't have to. There's always space to choose something else, follow their own rhythm, or simply be.
Braníček was created with a vision to be:
- 💛 deeply individual – with very small groups and a respectful, child-led approach,
- 🌿 home-like and safe – a second home rather than an institution,
- 🧩 inclusive – also welcoming children who might feel out of place in traditional groups,
- 🫶 community-based – connecting with families and the local Braník neighbourhood,
- 🎓 professionally led and language-rich – the morning programme is taught entirely in English by an educator with both British and Czech qualifications in early years education,
- ⭐ intentionally small-scale – only 4 children per group, cared for by two adults, to ensure a truly personal, calm, and nurturing experience where every child feels seen, safe, and accepted for who they are.
Braníček is not about perfection. It's about warmth, kindness, and giving each little person the space to grow at their own pace.
What to expect from September?
Exclusive Morning Pre-nursery and Nursery
Mornings will be dedicated to younger children (ages 2.5–5) and take place entirely in English.
This will be a form of exclusive early years education based on the British curriculum for nursery schools (EYFS).
There will be space for only 4 children, who will receive truly individual care and attention from 2 caregivers – myself ([more about me here]) and one of my kindest and most experienced nannies, Julia, a native speaker who brings not only the English language to Braníček, but also her warm personality and a heart of gold.
Afternoon Club Activities
In the afternoons, we'll open up creative and educational sessions for preschool and early school-aged children (ages 4–8): read more below.
Braníček
We're all about doing things with respect, kindness, and a thoughtful approach, and we'll keep the groups really small or even work with kids one-on-one.
Mathematical Fun & Games
Engaging and interactive activities that help children develop foundational math skills. Through play, they learn counting, shape recognition, and basic logic.
English for Kids
Playful English lessons focused on vocabulary building, listening, and verbal communication. Children learn naturally through songs, games, and hands-on activities.
Creative Art Workshops
Inspiring creative sessions where kids explore their imagination and learn various artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and modeling.
Children's Yoga
Fun yoga sessions that promote flexibility, coordination, and focus. Lessons include mindfulness techniques to help calm the mind and body.
Singing & Rhythm Time for Little Ones
Musical sessions designed for toddlers, focusing on rhythm, listening skills, and musical awareness. Children enjoy singing and playing with rhythm instruments.
Board Game Time
Playing board games that encourage logical thinking, strategic planning, and cooperative play.
Chess Club
Learning the basics of chess and developing strategic thinking in a fun and supportive environment.
Reading Club
Story reading sessions followed by discussion, supporting literacy and sparking imagination.
Themed Workshops
Diverse workshops focused on specific themes (e.g., science, technology, travel), enriching children's knowledge through exciting topics.
