Cancellation Policy

We aim to be as flexible as possible for our families while also protecting our babysitters’ time. Once a booking has been confirmed, the babysitter reserves that time exclusively for your family and will often decline other work opportunities as well as personal plans.

The earlier a booking is made, the longer the babysitter keeps that time reserved exclusively for your family. For this reason, cancellation terms for bookings made well in advance are stricter than for bookings made shortly before the babysitting date.

One-off Babysitting

For one-off babysitting, the cancellation policy depends on how far in advance the booking was originally made.

Regular Babysitting

Regular babysitting sessions are usually booked well in advance, allowing the babysitter to reserve these dates exclusively for your family.

How Regular Bookings Work

Regular bookings are made through our online booking system or entered into the system by our team following agreement with the family.

✓ Booked sessions are paid in advance, either as a monthly payment or via an invoice.
✓ Families with a saved payment card may choose automatic payment for their bookings.
✓ Each booked session is considered an individual reservation held exclusively for your family.
Once payment has been received, or an automatic card payment has been successfully processed, all booked sessions become confirmed and binding. Therefore, regular babysitting sessions follow the cancellation policy for bookings made well in advance.
Cancellation charges are calculated based on the total price of the cancelled booking. The cancellation time is determined by the moment Susie’s Childcare receives the cancellation request.
